Aleem Virji
Two years ago, Aleem suffered a torn ACL. Instead of going to his weekly physical therapy after the surgery, Aleem spent much of his time depressed about the whole situation. A year later, Aleem was in an even worse situation.
“I knew that something had to be done because my weight had reached an all-time high. I weighed in at 230 pounds and 38 percent body fat, being five foot eight, I was obese.”
With his health and daily activity at risk, Aleem’s dad decided to join Omni and asked him if he was interested. Initially, Aleem was skeptical about it, believing it was too late to get back on track. But together, Aleem and his father decided they wanted to change their lives.
To achieve his fitness goals, Aleem gave up all fast food, something he ate three times a day. For the first six months, Aleem only ate grilled chicken or fish with vegetables. But Aleem needed an extra push to reach his goals so he got a trainer.
“Joining Omni and meeting Russ Armistead are the two best decisions I have ever made.”
Aleem began working out seven days a week and training with Russ two times a week.
“The effect of him guiding me toward my goal has been tremendous. He is truly skilled at what he does but more than that, he enjoys what he does.”
After one year with Omni and with the help of Russ, Aleem was able to achieve his goals.
“I now weigh 155 pounds and have 12 percent body fat.”
Even though Aleem achieved his fitness goals, “I have new goals to reach and am currently trying to achieve them. Thanks to the Omni, my father, and my friend Russ for I am a new man.”
